On April 11th, 2012 at 1830 hours, EMS 51 was alerted to a personal injury accident in Company 10's first due in the area of Sadie Lane and Crain Highway. Ambulance 518 responded with EMT-B/IVT Michael Turner (Driver), EMT-B Robert Ansell (OIC), EMT-B Patrick Dennsion (Aide), and Ryan Lockrow (Aide). Company 10 units arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle into a tree and engulfed in flames. The patient, who was found unconscious, was removed from the vehicle and a helicopter was requested. Paramedic Ambulance 517 was alerted and responded with EMT-B/IVT Aldo Zambrana (Driver) EMT-P Jackie Bauer (OIC) and Antwan Washington (Aide) EMS Duty 16A also responded. The units from EMS 51 assisted Ambulance 109 with patient care. The patient was transported by PA517 Priority 1 to the LZ at the fairgrounds, where they were then airlifted to a local trauma center. Units returned to service at 1916 hours.
